For Consideration by Prospective Agents: NO ROADS HOME
Jessie Briggs passes out halfway through a barbwire fence, naked, and drugged nearly to death. A constable driving the roads of East Texas finds her, and suspects her meth-dealing brother of raping her. Running away to a sister's family struggling through late eighties Dallas, a year later she's driving the truck with a broken musician and rodeo rider on a road trip through dark sex and the rest of Texas. All roads lead back to the country, where her brother’s daughter is no longer safe, and Jessie must break the wheel of the past to stop its backward turn to No Roads Home.
